Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Oncologist with expertise in Bone Marrow Transplantation (BMT) to join a leading tertiary care hospital in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing and managing pediatric cancers and hematologic disorders, with a focus on BMT procedures, while contributing to clinical excellence, research, and education.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat pediatric oncology and hematology conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumors
* Perform and oversee autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants
* Lead multidisciplinary case reviews and develop individualized treatment plans
* Supervise junior physicians and fellows in pediatric oncology and BMT protocols
* Ensure compliance with international standards of care and hospital policies
* Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and CME activities
* Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding treatment options and post-transplant care
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and treatment plans
* Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as required
Qualifications & Requirements
* Medical Degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution
* Board Certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
* Fellowship training in Pediatric BMT is mandatory
* Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric oncology and BMT
* Eligibility for DOH/HAAD licensure in the UAE
* Western-trained candidates preferred (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.)
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
